What is a Sedentary lifestyle? A sedentary lifestyle is a lifestyle with a lot of sitting and lying down with very little to no exercise or physical activity. Around the world, people are spending more and more time doing sedentary activities, especially with the widely accepted Remote job activities. People living a sedentary lifestyle spend more time engaging in behaviors that expend little energy. This is becoming a significant public issue as it can be linked to a range of chronic health conditions.

A sedentary lifestyle can be linked to some deadly diseases such as Obesity, type 2 Diabetes, Some types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and early death. Extended periods of inactivity can reduce metabolism and impair the body’s ability to control blood sugar levels, regulate blood pressure, and break down fat. A sedentary lifestyle also appears to have a negative impact on mental well-being. It is essential to reduce the amount of time spent being sedentary in addition to doing more exercise.
